Previous | Home | NextThe road between Index and Galena is an easy groomer. Before long there is a left turn across the North Fork of the Skykomish River where the pavement ends. The gravel road forks, with the left fork following Salmon Creek for awhile and then switchbacking up Mineral Butte. The right fork, which is easy to miss, follows Silver Creek.
